I went to the vet the other day. It wasn’t my usual vet though. My usual vet is nice. His name is Dr Plasse and he tells me I’m pretty. His secretary is really nice too. Her name is Melanie. She always gives me a treat as I leave. I don’t like the treats... but they’re supposed to be good for me.
This new vet wasn’t nice. He kept touching my back and it really hurt. I kept telling him that it hurt, but he wouldn’t listen. Then he put a muzzle on me! My pappi told them I’m a good girl. The vet said that it was ‘procedure,’ but it looked like a 'muzzle' to me!.
Boy, if my pappi wasn’t there I would’ve given that vet a piece of my mind! After he finished probing and prodding me, he said that I would probably need surgery. He said that the X-Rays said so. He wouldn’t let me smell the X-Rays, so I don’t know what they said.
When we left, my back was still hurting. My pappi had to give me rubs for a loooong time just to make me feel better. I like rubs! My pappi told me that the doctor was a specialist and that he was going to help me feel better. I have inter-vertebral disc disease, you know.
I asked my pappi why the Doctor put a muzzle on me, I thought that muzzles were only for bad dogs! He said that there are no bad dogs, only bad dog owners. I wonder, do they have muzzles for them too?
Hi there Maya!
I'm so sorry to hear that you have inter-vertebral disc disease. I'm not entirely sure what the means -- but it doesnt sound like much fun. But I'm glad your poppa is taking good care of you! :o)
